Overview in plain language

NoteChat keeps your notes under your control. Notes are stored only on your device and, if you enable iCloud syncing, in your private iCloud container. The provider operates no server for the app, requires no account or registration, and does not collect personal data. NoteChat contains no analytics or tracking SDKs and no advertising.

Local storage and iCloud

Your notes are stored exclusively on your device. You can optionally synchronize them through your private iCloud container. This synchronization uses Apple’s infrastructure. The data is associated with your Apple Account; its storage and protection are governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy. The provider has no server of its own.

No NoteChat account is created, and no registration is required.

Dictation

The dictation feature uses Apple’s speech recognition. Depending on your device and settings, speech input may be processed on Apple’s servers in accordance with Apple’s privacy policy.

Purchases through the App Store

All purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple’s App Store. The provider does not receive payment details. Apple provides the provider only with aggregated and anonymous statistics about downloads and sales.

No analytics or advertising

NoteChat does not use analytics or tracking SDKs and does not display advertising. The provider does not collect personal data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Where processing is based on consent, you may also withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.

Because the provider does not collect personal data, the provider will generally have no data about you that could be accessed, corrected, transferred, restricted, or erased.

To delete notes stored on your device, delete the app. To remove synchronized notes from iCloud, delete the relevant iCloud data in the iOS settings.
